Writer's block / Bloqueio de escritor

Every writer goes through a phase when nothing makes sense and, at the same time, everything seems acceptable to be on paper. While some entertain superficial readers, and by this, I refer myself to those people who don't want to know what is under the iceberg and by that I remember of Hemingway's theory, which is not really the point here. So, having cleared that up and trying to link the sentences I was writing before, on one hand we have the superficial readers that are “amused” by popular writers that go in front of a computer and type what people want to know about or copy-and-paste famous quotations style of writing and they take all the credit along the way; long sentences require semicolon and I found it appropriate now, so, anyway, on the other hand, we have real writers who write about real things – not good or bad: real ones. Not just the fact of writing about real things, but about the object of their analysis: literature itself. It's incredible to notice on people in general how little they know about Literature and that this portion is equally proportional to their interest on it. Among this mixture of styles of writing and many other transitional types created as the world goes around, we have real minds breaking down - I don't know why. Maybe it's because of the semicolon.

Todo escritor passa por uma fase em que nada faz sentido e, ao mesmo tempo, tudo parece ser aceitável para estar no papel. Enquanto alguns entretêm leitores superficiais, e, por esse termo, eu me refiro àqueles que não querem saber o que está na parte de baixo do iceberg e com isso eu lembro da teoria de Hemingway, a qual não é a idéia central aqui. Então, esclarecendo esse ponto e tentando juntar as frases que eu estava escrevendo antes, por um lado nós temos os leitores superficiais que são divertidos pelos escritores populares que vão para frente do computador e escrevem o que as pessoas querem saber ou utilizam a técnica de redação copiar-e-colar citações famosas e levam o crédito por tudo ao longo do caminho; frases longas requerem ponto-e-vírgula e eu achei apropriado agora, portanto, a seguir, em outro lado, nós temos os escritores reais que escrevem sobre coisas reais – não boas ou ruins: reais! Não apenas o fato de escreverem sobre coisas reais, mas sobre o objeto de sua própria análise: a própria Literatura. É incrível perceber que as pessoas em geral conhecem tão pouco de Literatura e que essa parcela é igualmente proporcional ao interesse delas pela mesma. Entre essa mistura de estilos de escrever e muitos outros estilos de transição criados a medida que o mundo gira, nós temos mentes que entram em colapso – eu não sei porquê. Talvez seja por causa do ponto-e-vírgula.
